(City of Imperial has filed litigation against the County)....It is over the proposed Data Center.

The City says they are not seeking money. They are seeking transparency. The County has been very closed mouthed on details surrounding the proposed Data Center. They have not even revealed who is behind the proposal. Information  from other sources reveal the project is going through the permit process, the facility will be located on almost 1 million square feet of property between El Centro and Imperial off Aten and Clark. Other sources have said water for the center will be recycled water from agreements with local communities and an agreement for electricity will be negotiated with the Imperial Irrigation District. So far, no community or the IID have been contacted in regards of anything to do with the proposed Data Center.. The City of Imperial says they are seeking transparency from the county and answers to an abundance of questions.
