U. S. Border Patrol agents seized over 52 pounds of meth Sunday.
Agents saw an individual climb over the border fence near Boulevard, California. The individual then got in a UTV with another individual and went north on Jewel Valley Road. Border Patrol agents made a traffic stop on the UTV and identified the driver as a U.S. citizen and the passenger a a Mexican national with a valid visa. A K-9 team detected the presence of narcotics and a search led to the discovery of over 52 pounds of methamphetamine in the spare tire of the vehicle. Drug Enforcement Administration agents took the pair in to custody.
