A man brandishing a firearm was stopped Thursday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), they received the report of the incident that occurred on Interstate 8 near Dunaway Road. A driver was reported to have brandished a rifle at another motorist. CHP officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop. Officers found a loaded semi-automatic rifle in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.
