(Traffic Stop results in an arrest)....It happened Monday afternoon.

Brawley Investigation Team assisted by K-9 units were conducting a street enforcement operation. A suspicious vehicle was observed making erratic maneuvers in the area of North Eastern Avenue and D Street. The vehicle made repeated passes through the area, before heading west on Main Street. Unmarked police units kept a surveillance of the vehicle until K-9 Units made a traffic stop at the intersection of Brandt Road and Highway 86. Officers noticed the license plate on the vehicle did not belong to that vehicle. A K-9 alerted to the vehicle for the presence of contraband. That led to the discovery of a 9mm ghost gun and a small quantity of methamphetamine. The subject, who was not identified, was taken into custody and booked into County Jail.
