(Semi Truck Fire)...A County Sheriff's Deputy came upon the fire at just after 1 Thursday morning.

The semi was at the Brawley Bypass near Best Road. The California Highway Patrol says the rig had apparently exploded. Two Deputies block the eastbound bypass from Hovely Road to the fire. The #2 lane on the bypass was closed to extinguish the fire and the semi towed away. An investigation is ongoing. There was no mention of injuries.
