The Yuma Fire Department has two new Hurst Extrication Tools.

The tools, commonly referred to as the Jaws of Life, came courtesy of a grant from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety. According to YFD, the equipment will enhance the department's ability to respond to traffic accidents and other emergency situations requiring rapid rescue operations. The new tools will be strategically positioned at the station that serves Interstate 8 and State Route 195.
