The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating a late Friday night traffic accident.

At about 11:15 p.m. Friday a Cadillac that was westbound on Interstate 8 near Winterhaven went out of control and rolled over. A witness told the CHP that they aw the car driving at a high rate of speed prior to the accident. One person sustained minor injuries. Initial investigation indicates that Driving Under the Influence is suspected.
