The National Weather Service (NWS) says things will heat up this week.

Warm, dry, and tranquil weather will prevail in the Imperial Valley. An unseasonably strong high pressure system is expected to build over the Desert Southwest into next week and that will lead to temperatures warming into the 90's by Tuesday. Looking even further into the week, a couple of mostly dry weather systems may impact the Valley by the first weekend of the California Mid-Winter Fair. and extend into the following week. Overnight lows will remain in the mid to upper 50's and winds should be light.
