A suspect is in county jail following a traffic stop.
El Centro Police officers on the dayshift conducted a traffic stop on a car after noticing a vehicle code violation. Officers determined that the driver was a convicted felon and also had a warrant for his arrest out of another county. ECPD K-9 Maverick and his partner stepped in, and the dog alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle. A search led to the discovery of suspected fentanyl pills as well as a meth pipe. The driver was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on a variety of charges.
