A vehicle pursuit that began over two weeks ago ended Friday.

On December 21, 2024, San Diego California Highway Patrol officers were involved in a failure to yield pursuit with a blue 2022 Ford Mustang. After obtaining the license plate information from the fleeing car, officers terminated the pursuit. A check determined the license plate returned to a car registered at a Brawley address. Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained and on Friday, January 3, 2025, CHP officers from the El Centro office assisted San Diego CHP officers by following up at the Brawley address. The blue 2022 Ford Mustang was identified and seized for 30 days.
