(CBP seizes a large amount of Fentanyl Pills)...It happened recently at the port in Otay Mesa.

Customs and Border Protection Officers were conducting pre-primary roving operations in the early morning hours. They encountered a 31 year old driver of a 2008 SUV. A CBP K-9 alerted to the vehicle. It was sent to the secondary inspection area. Officers used non-intrusive inspection technology to screen the SUV. It revealed anomalies throughout the vehicle. A search revealed 30 packages in the rear quarter panels, spare tire and doors of the SUV. The packages weighed over 215 pounds and tested positive for Fentanyl. The river was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The narcotics and the vehicle were seized by the CBP
