Grimmway Farms is recalling contaminated carrots.

Grimmway, headquartered in Bakersfield, has issued the recall for bagged organic carrots distributed to grocery stores due to an E. coli outbreak The carrots were sold under brand names including O-Organics, Bunny Luv, Good & Gather, Marketside, Trader Joes, Sprouts and a number of other brands. The recalled carrots include baby and whole carrots. The carrots were available in stores from August 14 through October 23 and are probably not still available in stores but may be in homes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises not to eat the recalled carrots and dispose of any affected products. The CDC has reported 39 E. coli cases in connection with the outbreak. 15 people have been hospitalized and there has been one death reported.
