(Customs and Border Protection San Diego Field Office)...They have released their August numbers.

During the month of August the CBP was involved in 108 incidents. The incidents resulted in the seizure of 10,827 pounds of narcotics. They seized 9,525 pounds of methamphetamine, 968 pounds of cocaine, 298 pounds of fentanyl, and 36 pounds of heroin. The street value of the narcotics seized came in at over $21 million. All the suspects arrested were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The San Diego Field office covers the ports of entry in San Ysidro Otay Mesa, Tecate, Calexico east and west and the Andrade port.
