A seventeen-year-old Central Union High School student has been charged with felony criminal threats.
The El Centro Police Department was notified of graffiti in a restroom on the Central campus late Thursday afternoon. The graffiti referenced a potential threat that would take place on the campus in the upcoming weeks. El Centro police coordinated with school and district staff to investigate and address the threat.
The investigation pointed to a 17-year-old CUHS student. That student was arrested and booked at Imperial County Juvenile Hall. A search of the students personal property and his residence resulted with no weapons being located and no other threats to the school or community.
