Saul Martinez Sanchez has been found guilty of 15 felony counts of various sex crimes against a child.

Sanchez was charged with crimes against a Calexico girl that started when the youth was six years old and continued for several years. The girl first reported the crimes to Calexico Police in June of 2022, when she was 13 years old. Calexico Police investigators took over the case and with the Imperial County Victim Witness Program, the Imperial County District Attorney's Bureau of Investigations, the California Department of Justice and the Imperial County Sheriff's office were able to bring the charges. The jury also found true the aggravating factor that the victim was a particularly vulnerable victim on all counts. Sentencing is scheduled for October 28, 2024, before Judge Plourd.
