A brush fire near Campo in Eastern San Diego County was contained Sunday.

The fire was reported late Saturday morning near Church Road and Golden Acorn Way. An evacuation order was issued for the nearby area but was ended a short time later. The fire burned about 40 acres before being fully contained.
