The Calexico Recreation Department and the Mexican Consulate in Calexico will celebrate Mexican Independance Day early.

On Tuesday, September 10, the public is invited to the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center for the celebration. There will be an International Poster Biennial Exhibit, live music by Mariachi Aurora de Calexico, and folkloric dance. The event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and admission is free. The poster exhibit will be available through September 19.
