(Veterans University 2024 recently held in Imperial)....The annual event was held recently at the Veterans Memoria Hall in Imperial.

The host for the event says he was very happy with the turnout. Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz has been organizing and hosting the event for years. The Congressman says the event in Imperial was a momentous success. He said they brought together over 150 veterans, families, and experts for a day focused on resources, education and community. Ruiz said it was an honor to stand with the veteran community and work toward a common goal; ensuring the veterans get the care and benefits they've earned through their service to our nation.. US Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis Richard McDonough, who provided live virtual remarks about expanding care and benefits for the veterans through  the PACT Act. He also reminded everyone of the importance of standing up for those who have served.
