Smith attacked one officer who was conducting a body search. The officer fought back, and Smith ran to his cell, where he attacked another officer who was searching the cell. Two counts of battery were filed against the inmate. The Imperial County District Attorney's Office said a jury this week found Smith guilty of both charges. Sentencing has been scheduled for October 21st.
