A Thursday night accident blocked a roadway.

The accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Alamo River bridge on Worthington Road. A big rig loaded with hay was involved and dropped the hay in the road blocking the bridge. Imperial County Roads Department closed off the road at McKim and also at McConnell Roads as Worthington was completely blocked. The cleanup of the hay was expected to continue into Friday morning. There were no injuries reported.
