Imperial Valley firefighters who were deployed to wildfires have returned home.

A captain and engineer with the Imperial County Fire Department returned to the Valley after an 18 day deployment to the Boise Fire in Humbolt County. Three El Centro firefighters who responded to the Bose Fire tw weeks ago have also returned. El Centro Fire Department Battalion Chief Brad Chapin also returned home. Chapin had been deployed to the Park Fire since late July. He served as the Base Camp Coordinator. The Park Fire scorched nearly 430,000 acres in Butte and Tehema Counties in Northern California.
