(CalTrans has scheduled work on Interstate 8)...The work will inconvenience motorists traveling eastbound.

On Friday, September 13, CalTrans will be closing I-8 eastbound just west of Jackson Drive in El Cajon. The closure will remain in effect through September 16. Crews will completing the repair of the bridge deck over El Cajon Blvd. Traffic will be detoured around the closed area. It is part of a $27.7 million teo year project to service several bridges in the San Diego area.
