It is due to predicted High temperatures of over 110 degrees through Friday. Possibly into the weekend. The Imperial Irrigation District has issued a Conserve Alert. It is in effect through Friday, September 6. The IID says by conserving energy we can take stress off the energy grid, maintain reliable energy delivery service and help avert rotating power outages. The District suggests the AC is set to 78 degrees or higher. Give major appliance a break between 4-9 pm, and turn off unnecessary lights.
