Valerie J. Hudson has been appointed the new Director of Risk, Security and Safety at Imperial Valley College. The Board of Trustees approved the appointment on August 21. To further enhance campus security, the college is making a significant investment in upgrading its video surveillance system. The $421,000 project, managed by Pixabytes Solutions incorporated, received approval on October 18, 2023. This upgrade introduces advanced technology to critical areas across the campus, significantly improving the monitoring and security of the college community. 115 new cameras were installed in strategic areas to cover both exterior and interior locations. Also, among the improvements the college is providing unarmed security patrol services, motion-censured lighting and more.
