(Free Fishing Day)...It will wrap up summer for the California Department Of Fish and Wildlife.

It will be the second and last free fishing day of the year. It will be held on Saturday August 31. The first Free Fishing Day was held in July. The free fishing day allows anglers to participate in the sport without a fishing license. All other state rules and regulations will remain in effect. It is a perfect time to introduce someone to the sport, or reintroduce yourself to the sport, or to take a group of family and friends fishing.. Kids 15 and under can fish for free everyday of the year.
