Imperial County Sheriff's deputies arrested an Indio man in a stolen vehicle.

According to the Sheriff's press release, The Imperial County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division, Border Crime Suppression Team, and South County Patrol, conducted a coordinated investigation to combat vehicle thefts. Investigators identified 22-year-old Angel Acevedo of Indio as the main suspect. On Friday, August 9, at about 2:00 a.m., Holtville deputies located Acevedo in the 500 block of Pine Avenue. The suspect was connected to a vehicle just stolen in El Centro. Acevedo was arrested and turned over to El Centro Police. The vehicle was recovered and turned over to the registered owner.
