(City of El Centro has installed more stop signs)...It was recently announced the City had installed new stop signs around Central Union High School.

The City says they have also installed stop signs in the area south of Interstate 8, near the South Imperial Avenue extension. The new stop signs have been installed at Wake and Cypress Avenue, Wake and 18th Street, and Danenberg Drive and Cypress Avenue. They say the installations are based on a traffic study conducted by the city, following the opening of the South Imperial Avenue extension. The stop signs are currently covered and will become active on Monday, August 12. Enforcement will begin on the same date.
