The Grove 2 Fire continues to burn on Palomar Mountain.

The fire was reported Wednesday afternoon, apparently caused by a lightening strike. As of late Thursday the blaze had burned nearly 900 acres. According to CalFire, there are 371 personnel fighting the fire, 13 crews are involved along with 6 helicopters, 22 engines, 7 dozers and 11 water tenders. Calorie added that numerous air tankers from throughout the state are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.
