Border Patrol agents intercepted a big load of cocaine.
On Monday, an SUV approached the Border Patrol checkpoint on State Route 86 near Salton City. During primary inspection, a Border Patrol K-9 team alerted to the vehicle. Further inspection led to the discovery of 92 pounds of cocaine hidden in the ceiling of the SUV. The estimated value of the drugs is slightly over $1 million. The vehicle, the drugs, and the driver were turned over to the Imperial Valley Border Enforcement Security Task Force for processing and investigation.
