U. S. News and World Report has issued the 2024 - 2025 Honor Roll of hospitals.

Among the Best of the Best hospitals is UC San Diego Health La Jolla and Hillcrest Hospitals. According to U. S. News, the hospitals on the list are rated for their performance in three dozen health care services, including cancer care, orthopedics, heart bypass surgery and much more. El Centro Regional Medical Center is affiliated with the UC Healthcare system. Scripps La Jolla Hospitals, Memorial and Green, received six national specialty rankings. Pioneers memorial Healthcare District is affiliated with the Scripps Health Care System. 

The annual rating of specialty care by U.S. News and World Report examined nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide, using data from care provided to Medicare patients and from other sources.
