(Local Law Enforcement meets with Mexicali officials)....It was the Border Violence Prevention Operational Group Meeting.

The Imperial County District Attornys Office attended the meeting, led by the US Border Patrol Foreign Operations Branch. Also attending with the Imperial County DA's office was Border Patrol, CBP and Calexico Police Department Agencies from Mexico included the National Guard, Mexicali Police department, Baja California Attorney General's Office, the State Department of Citizen's Safety, The National Center of Investigations, Mexican Immigration Institute, and the Mexican Military. The purpose was to address the threat of transnational criminal organizations and keeping our communities safe.
