(The County Registrar of Voters says the General Election will be held November fifth.

That election is a big one. Not only will the ballot contain the Presidential Election, and several State and Federal issues, there will be several local issues. There will be several special Districts, including schools and other districts, there will also be City Council races and other City issues from Brawley, Calexico, Calipatria El Centro, Holtville, Imperial, and Westmorland. Starting July 15, Declarations of Candidacy for eligible persons desiring to file for elective offices will be available at the Registrar of Voters Office Declarations of Candidacy must be filed with the Registrar of Voters by 5 pm August 9. Appointments are required for filing candidate documents. City Candidates must file with the City Clerk in their individual cities.
