A man and a woman are dead following a shooting in Calexico.

According to the Calexico Police Department, shortly before 9:00 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the Employment Development Departments One Stop Center in Calexico. Initial information shows that a woman entered the One Stop and said that her husband was outside and then she left. A witness reported hearing loud noises and then discovered the woman sitting in her vehicle and a man just outside the vehicle. Both individuals had been shot. The woman was declared dead at the scene, the man was transported to Pioneers Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. Calexico Police brought in support resources from the Imperial County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit, the ICSO Coroner's office, Imperial County District Attorney's Office Bureau of Investigations and the U. S. Border patrol. The identities of the deceased have not been released. The investigation continues.
