The Imperial irrigation District has extended a Conserve Alert.

With temperatures expected to peak at 115 by the weekend, the Imperial Irrigation District has extended their conserve alert through Tuesday, July 9. The IID is asking that electricity customers in the Imperial and Coachella Valleys help reduce stress on the power grid, maintain a reliable energy delivery service and help avert rotating power outages. Customers can help by setting their air conditioners to 78 degrees or higher, turning off unnecessary lights and giving major appliances a break between 4 and 9 p.m. More energy conserving information is available on the IID website.
