Imperial County Sheriff's Office Boating Enforcement is issuing a reminder. During the weekend there is a substantial increase in boating activities on the Colorado River and other water ways. They want everyone to be reminded, Boating under the influence is a crime.. They say alcohol use continues to be the leading known contributing factor in recreational boater deaths and a leading contributor to boating incidents. All boaters are encouraged to prioritize safety by boating sober. Not only over the Holiday, but all year long.
