Another haystack fire was reported Wednesday evening.

Imperial County Fire department responded to the burning hay at about 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Multiple stacks of hay were burning in the area of Barbara Worth Road and State Route 98. The owner of the hay and the fire department worked to keep the fire from spreading to other nearby stacks. Traffic on the nearby highway was not affected. The fire is expected to burn for another 24 to 48 hours. This is the third fire involving haystacks in the last week.
