The woman had been arrested on May 31 in Calexico. Police say the woman struck a man in the head with a hammer as he slept. The victim survived the attack and was transported to a hospital. Officials say he is expected to fully recover. Police say they had to search for the weapon used in the attack. It was finally found on a roof.
