(Supervisors change hats to conduct a public hearing)...It happened earlier this week.

The Board convened as the Gateway Service Area Board of Directors. That was necessary in order to conduct a public hearing on the Gateway Service Area. The Gateway Service Area is on the US side of the east Port of Entry. As a result of the Hearing, the Board adopted a resolution to form the service  District. Once the district is formed, the Gateway Service Area will focus on providing essential public services such as water, sewer, and street maintenance, improving infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the quality of life for residents within the service area. An Industrial Park and Travel Center are currently under construction in that area.
