El Centro Police arrested a man suspected of animal cruelty.

A social media post on Monday showed an apparent incident of animal cruelty. The video was widely viewed and police were made aware of the incident.  The video, made by a witness, shows a man kicking a dog several times. Officers were able to identify a residence and contact the suspect. After an investigation, the dog owner was arrested and charged with animal cruelty. The dog was removed from the residence.
