On Saturday at about 3:10 p.m. California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the area of State Route 78 and Butters Road.

The vehicle was found about 10 feet down in a ditch with beer bottles strewn about outside the vehicle. The driver was no where to be found. Investigation determined that Yuma County authorities had been looking for the vehicle. It was later determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Lake Havasu, Arizona. The incident remains under investigation.
