A suspect has been arrested in an apparent arson incident.
On Saturday at about 2:00 p.m., multiple agencies responded to the area of the Colorado River and Zoo Island after receiving reports of a brush fire. Fire crews worked to extinguish the fire as it burned several acres in the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. Initial investigation by Yuma County Sheriff's deputies determined that the fire was intentionally set. Deputies were able ti identify a suspect and arrest him. Jason Bradley Martin, 47, of Yuma, was booked into Yuma County Detention Center on charges of Reckless Burning, Arson, Criminal Damage and several other charges.
