(Wednesday was the Ribbon Cutting)....The ceremony was for Phases 1 and 2 of the South Imperial Avenue Extension in El Centro.

The event celebrated the completion of Phase 1 & 2. The extension did not open then. It will be open to traffic this evening. The exact time has not been announced. The City of El Centro has been working on Dannenberg Drive at the intersection with Highway 86 since May 13. According to their schedule, the work should be done on Friday
