Community leaders and public officials attended the grand opening. It was for Weist Lake's Americans with Disabilities Act Compliant inclusive playground project. The event heralded in a new era of inclusivity and community spirit within Imperial County. There is now a playground that is safe for everyone. Officials say the playground stands as a testament to the County's dedication to providing spaces where all children can play and thrive. It is the first ADA compliant inclusive playground put forth by the County. They say the project embodies the vision of inclusivity and community. The County says the Weist Lake playground is the beginning of improvements planned for the County Park.
