(El Centro Sector California Highway Patrol)...It has a new Captain.
Ernesto Ruedas began his new position Friday, March 1. Captain Ruedas began his career with the CHP immediately following his discharge from the US Marine Corps. He began his career with the Highway Patrol in the West Valley area of Los Angeles. Ruedas spent several years in Los Angeles. He became a Sergeant in 2014 and transferred to the Calexico Inspection Facility. He also worked in the El Centro Sector.. He was promoted to Lieutenant and moved back to Los Angeles. He eventually transferred to the Indio Station and then back to El Centro. Captain Ruedas says he was born in Mexicali and raised in Heber. He says he is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the community he was raised in.
