(County turns attention to Weist Lake)...There are two lakeside recreation areas in Imperial County.

For the last few years the attention has been on Sunbeam Lake. The County is now turning its attention to Weist Lake. Wednesday they will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a Playground Project at Weist Lake. They have already installed a device to cut down on the algae in the Lake.. Weist Lake is located at 5351 Dietrich Road North of Brawley. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will begin at 10 am Wednesday.
