(Early morning collision)....It was reported at around 5 Monday morning.

A Border Patrol agent found a vehicle on the right hand side of Eastbound Interstate 8, just west of Mountain Springs. They approached the vehicle and found the driver inside. The driver told officials he had been out of the vehicle, but got back in because of the cold. An inspection of the vehicle found it had run off the roadway and ran into a rock. The vehicle had run off the roadway and was difficult to reach. No injuries were reported.
