(Empty the Shelters is coming in October)....Bissell Pet Foundation is hosting the event.

It is their Fall National Empty the Shelters Event. It will be held October 1-15. The event is prompted by animal shelter overcrowding. 345 shelters in 42 states are participating in Empty the Shelters. The Humane Society of Imperial County is among the shelters participating. During the event, Bissell Pet Foundation will sponsor reduced adoption fees. Adopters will be able to save a life and bring home a spayed or neutered, vaccinated pet available for adoption for $50 or less. Contact the local Humane Society for more information and their hours of operation during the special event.
