(Kraft Singles American Cheese is being recalled)...It is the individually wrapped cheese slices.

Kraft Heinz says they are recalling 83,000 cases of the cheese slices because they might pose a choking hazard. In a statement issued by the company they say a temporary issue with one of the wrapping machines means a thin strip of the individual film may remain on the slice after the wrapper has been removed. They say if it is not removed, it could be unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard. The recall was issued after several calls to the company with customer complaints of finding the piece of plastic on the cheese, including six complaints from consumers who choked or gagged on it. No injuries or health issues have been reported and the faulty machine has since been fixed. The packages of concern contain a best when used date of January 10, 2024, and January 27, 2024. The packages contain an S and 72 in the manufacturing code on the packaging. Those who have the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase.
