(38 year Brawley woman accused of murdering her infant)...The crime was reported earlier this year.

Ruby R. Lopez of Brawley was served with the warrant last week. She was not hard to find. The woman is in the Imperial County Jail on unrelated charges. The warrant alleges suspicion of murder, suspicion of assault on a child resulting in death, and suspicion of child abuse with great bodily injury resulting in death The infant was estimated to be around one day old when the incident occured on February 18 of this year. An Investigation was launched. Once the autopsy results were returned and the investigation concluded, the District Attorney's office approved the case and the woman was charged.
