A teenager was arrested for an armed robbery Monday evening.

The robbery occurred in the area of Holt and Imperial Avenues in El Centro. The suspect threatened a man and took his cell phone. The suspect was located a short time later in the area and was detained in an alley off of Hamilton Avenue. It was determined that the suspect simulated that he was holding a gun during the commission of the robbery. The suspect was booked at Imperial County Juvenile Hall on charges of Armed Robbery.
